We have heard from 2LMN that s83 has reached 805 000 pages views, which is about over 1 Million hits in the last two months. Such news humbles us, because it means that we are on the right track.

To those who make us who we are today ... thank you *bow   |  Picture

I believe in dreams and I believe in magic and obviously I believe in love. This is the 4th year of running s83, while pursuing happiness amongst all these dreams.

With just one of these component missing we would not be where we are today ... so i thank each and every one of you guys out there who believe in this dream, because of you we can create this magic. 1ove

Celebrate Life magazine is finally out - im glad.                 Picture

  3. Im currently working on the latest issue for Celebrate Life magazine and since CL doesnt have a blog i will use this space to update on whats going on.celebrate_life_cover_1st_issue_2.jpg

CL will have a fresher look than the previous issue, and the direction will shift a bit [but not too much] - we believe that last issue was sad [which was understandble within those conditions] ... the magazine will be female based or dominant. eeer yah, i think thats all for now.

  4. We have reached 1000 posts on the blog. Yamutsi Yoshikawa posted the 1000th post last week Friday. Its a video by Milow - Ayo Technology.

well, well it has been a long road to this issue. Alot has happened in between and now s83 has grown to a point that its no longer about me anymore, its bigger than that. We are at that point where we are looking for investors now, who can inject funds into this magazine so that we can take over the world - maybe even take it to print. We at Studio83 Magazine would like to thank everyone who has contributed and believed in this magazine. I know its cheesy but without you guys - we are nothing. Vanity is The New Black™

  6. Hello,

Like clockwork --- I am done redeveloping, rebuilding, redesigning this site.  and I do believe this song (this version will explain what it took to get it done)

So, what has changed --- well the following:

    1. blog will focus on STUDIO83 stuff
    2. news will focus on everything else
    3. I do believe the profile avatars/icons didn't work in the past, they should now --- I will test and confirm.
    4. and I think (George can correct me) there will be more contributors (somebody has to stop George from only sharing Khanye West/Rick Ross stuff, ;-)

and should any thing no work as imagined --- let us know. Oh that reminds me I need to put the twitter thingy magic too.

ps: this design version is called: Undone; some would say it looks like 75 --- but what George wants George gets.

    till then, enjoy.

  9. Lelethu Lumkwana by you.

Met in Cape Town in December last years - while my friends and I were on holiday. We all clicked as young black people with dreams - we had the best times of our lives in Cape Town. When we all came back to Joburg i had a chance to work with her on The Blackout Issue  which came out awesome. She was an editor of True Love Babe and later became editor for Campus Times. She had love for Africa and traveling [recentely went to the Malawi Festival] and blogged about it. She was huge fan of studio83 magazine - she believed in the magazine when i wanted to throw in the towel. She also wrote the cover story to the Modern man - if you had the oppotunity to have met her you know the kind of cherecter she was, she had a beautiful soul, she was compassionate for others - she was a hard worker, a dreamer. She taught me alot - she taught me to love, care, believe, have faith, be, live for the moment, explore, to get out of your comfort zone - im sure God has a reason why he took her while she was soo young - Lelethu left behind her son [3] and her mother and brothers and sisters and friends who really loved her. May her soul rest in peace.
