I thought I'd do the touristy thing and go see the boom boom (sex shows). Sweet. Mother. Of Moses. I'll tell you one thing; I will never underestimate the entertainment capabilities of the vagina ever again.
So, after a few day's in the super humid, bustling, noisy, vaginally talented city of bangkok I took a 10hr train ride south to the city/town of Chumpon. The people weren't so friendly. But my fellow Safra's with whom I've been travelling assured me that it was just South African paranoia. The people looked at me funny, didn't say thank you and seemed reluctant to even greet. Kids giggled and cleared the street. The elderly stared as only one with a lifetime's experience of looking can ogle. I later found out that Thai people think that black people are from the spirit world and that we're really not here... good times.
After a day in Chumpon I took a fairy to Koh Tao. I woke to one of the most beautiful things I have EVER seen. Beautiful beaches with water so clear and so blue you can see to the the bottom. Scantilly clad, bikini perfect bodies sprawled accross the white beaches in a way that brought tears to my eyes and life to my loins. At night the island truly comes alive with parties all the way down the beach. What's really awesome is that everyone is just out to have a good time - not like in Jhb where everyone just sticks to their people and it's too much about who with who and who wearing who.
Now I'm leaving the island after 22days to go to one of the full moon parties before making my way to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Burma. After which I will re-enter Thailand to fly to India.
