Last night was in Sandton and I was watching Destiny's Child DVD with a friends and everyone hated on Michelle saying that she can’t sing and she is not talented. But now what about Rihanna?

We all know that Rihanna is not talented singer right and in my humble opinion even Beyonce [Jennifer Hudson can kick B's ass to nearest river] - but now these two girls work hard [and obviously have awesome PR managers]. Now all of this questions the talent factor - do you really need talent to make it? Or all you need is a good image and work hard [craft]?

I think we need to take into consideration that the question varies in what line of work we are talking about.

Sure in the pop culture music business you need that sex appeal and PR to set you off for good. but there are genres in music that dont necessarily need that(ok except in marketing terms PR nad ish)

The nastiest singers I know are in either Jazz or some other genre for the golden oldies and they making proper money and get that recognition from followers of the music and these pop culture kids.

Then there would be other lines of work that dont even need you to deal with people face to face.
