Editor/Supp Editor/Senior Features Writer X4 - Media Nova
We have four journalism positions open: Editor/Senior Features Writer of an existing lifestyle/financial contract title (Sandton-based only); Editor/Senior Features Writer of a newly won lifestyle contract title (Sandton-based only); and two positions for Supplement Editor/Senior Features Writer on The Property Magazine in our Sandton and Cape Town offices.
For all of these positions you will be the ideal candidate if you: possess excellent writing skills, good time management and superb organisational skills; are friendly and personable; and enjoy a fast-paced, happy, humorous and energetic team-based environment.
Your career experience will demonstrate that you have written for our typical reader, namely an intelligent, worldly individual who enjoys the finer things in life, likes having his or her frame of reference challenged or moved, and expects, in fact demands, to be taken seriously.
You will be able to quickly adapt your writing style towards the title or section that you are working on (or the sub will hunt you down in the middle of the night). You have good contacts, great references and are able to tune in to the DNA of a project or title quickly.
As a person you are enjoyed, generally happy, personable, presentable and interesting. You are not bitter, rude, inflexible and socially inept.

Journalism diploma/degree or similar
Minimum three years experience in a similar role in publishing or related industry
