Opposites attract, right? Well, even though that might be the case, other times it's the similarities that bond us to our loved one. Maybe you and your guy connected because you have the same favorite movie, or enjoy the same types of food.
Perhaps the one thing that drew you to your lady was the fact that you were both raised with similarly crazy parents.
In similar fashion (pun intended) some couples relish at the thought of stepping outdoors to meet and greet the world dressed alike. Hey, who am I to disagree? I mean after all I am a die hard romantic and I find couple's that add this element to their relationship endearing. Truth be told though, when in high school dressing as a couple comes easier.
For adult couples however; fashion is not child's play. Frankly the thought of a couple wearing bright green t-shirts screaming "I love him/her" will turns my stomach, heck it would turn any sane human beings stomach. In any case, one has to remember it's all about subtlety. Knowing how to complement your mate's clothing without looking like you've tried too hard is key.
Always consider the mirror elegance of celebrity pairs such as Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance if all fails.
Their coordinated ensembles suggest their closeness with a whisper rather than a scream. I've taken the liberty of gathering two looks, one casual the other formal. Both further illustrate my theory that you can celebrate you're togetherness through fabric and texture effortlessly while looking super chic and fashion forward. Happy Fashion Friday!
