Bikes are huge in Europe (well, not considering India and China), but they are huge. We saw a bicycle sold for 18 large, 18 stena, yeah R18,000.00. I was like what?!
Alas, Faris Elmasu designed this bike baskets: which I think are fantastic, I can see a 6 pack o' black labels on it.
Aside, I think South/African's should start building a bike culture (don't use that excuse that teksi drivers will kill you: fear gets you nowhere!). This is a world to be changed.

I agree with the proliferation of a bicycle culture in SA. Besides, its green to be cool, I mean, its cool to be green nowadays, so I hear!

Can you prove that statement? Have you owned a bike? Have ridden a bike in the city? Have you tried to ride a bike in joburg? Have ridden a bike in a city?
Joburg is many thing, one it is not: impossible.
In fact if I remember correctly, there were lots o' bikes in Alexandra in the 80's, and Jo'burg did have bikes in the city 'round '60, '70.
