Hello,

I have been quietly observing illustrators — say 5 years now, I think that's when the 'trend' started, or rather that's when illustration became quite an important design skill, that is to say it had commercial viability.

I say that lightly, coz somewhere around '99 I (virtually) met a few South/African illustrators and they will beg to differ with that statement, lets assume I said it for emphasis.

Anyway, so I have been trawling the web looking for illustrations, similarities, patterns, styles, and I think I have the psyche of illustrators. In the next coming weeks (you know I am not that good with deadlines), I shall be plugging each meme and elaborate it, I will try include multiple (digital) artist with each post, so the 'meme' factor is proven.

A meme (pronounced /ˈmiːm/, rhyming with "cream") :

is a unit of cultural  ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena.
