The demise of Lindsay Lohan is quite unfortunate. She has opened up about her problems with drugs and alcohol twice on Vanity Fair within the last four years. It seems that nothing has changed or perhaps the situation has become worse.

Why is that most child stars find themselves at the wrong end of the Hollywood stick? River Phoenix founded a premature death and Drew Barrymore was stuck in an adult world as a pre-teen but has since redeemed herself. Lindsay was not even THAT famous a child star but with the launch of Mean Girls, the downfall of Lindsay Lohan began.

I love Vanity Fair, I truly do. A society magazine that always cultures me into discovering new ideas and experiences of America and the rest of the world. I feel a sense of aristocracy whenever I am able to read on the stories of the greatness amongst us. Simple in its reporting, reviewing and storytelling. Without the need to flaunt itself in fashion spreads.

But I cannot go through the story of Lindsay Lohan who is stuck in the same place she was in 2006. I wonder why she's even considered news anymore. She doesn't do anything much worthwhile to brand her a celebrity, let alone A-list. Just another kid stuck in the gutter.

Don't get me wrong. I encourage Lindsay's steps to getting herself to a right place but reading about the sick addiction page after page makes me yawn. BUT in all honesty, I will continue to go to Exclusive Books to purchase the next edition (Lady Gaga September cover in South Africa).
