I know alot of people might not like Kanye West but I believe that he is the modern day Micheal Jackson when it comes to how he views his music and his videos says it all. His videos have changed how alot of people view hip hop. I love how this film touches on alot of issue within society and creativity.
It told the story of a phoenix (played by model Selita Ebanks) who falls to Earth in front of West’s car. West, playing a version of himself, tried to introduce her to a world that mystified her, and was mystified by her.
Runaway contains nine songs from his forthcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and supplies “visuals for all these songs that deserve videos.”
Directed by Kanye, starring Selita Ebanks, written by Hype Williams, art director Vanessa Beecroft, costume design Phillip Lim and Martin Izquierdo, produced by Jonathan Lia, cinematographer Kyle Kibbe.

Im glad Hype Willams is back, therer was an era where Hype was all over the place and he on top of his game.
Yep, i like Hype too....he, to an extent revolutionized making music videoz.
i love how he says the first rule in this world baby, you don't pay attention to anything you see on the news.
He really puts everything into all his projects, he is a great music video director and the concepts him and his team come up with are always sick.
( "she is a bird not an angel" random thought i had when viewing )
I wonder how he felt kissing such a rare beauty and having her be on top of him?
the part where she flys off is dope and the fireworks do a great job complementing the scenes but she kinda looks like she is getting F#cked .
(well that's what her facial expressions reveal to my eye)
I wonder what the media is gonna say about him using white people as his servants?
I actually thought about that, him using whities as servants.....its all psychological i guess, reverse things and we imagine living in that kinda world....love that short film of a video, great concept...i had to watch it twice.
life has not allowed me the time or pleasure of seating through the whole video but as I was watching some of it now a lady next to me caught interest in the first few seconds, when I read the description of what it's supposed to be about, she said
"The Devil fell from the heavens to you know" (Mind you the lady who said this to me did not strike me as 1 that follows Kanye, or even knows much about him)
Again the link of him and the anti Christ movement, I couldn't help but put this thought up.
Interesting imagery. Yemi Akinyemi did a stellar job with the ballet. I wonder what the film Gods think of it. Its not easy for a nobody like me to critique it when I'm all about images and beauty. I would like to really know what he's trying to tell us and not what we think.
Love how he turned pain into creativity.
...I wonder what's next from his controversial mind.
