In my line of work one meets new people, make friends, share ideas, its what makes what i do even more fun,  such persons who define cool, and i mean being cool individuals are the likes of Smiso Zwane, A.K.A Ok Malume (of Legendary Dirty Paraffin), DOPE Store founder Andile, Mangstarr & DJ Wireless G of Thesis Social Jamm Sesssions, GG Matsheke S83, Lebogang Nkoane (Developer), Urban Mosadi (blogger), Lufuno (Stylist), Mpumelelo Macu (Photorapher/Designer) and the Mukheli twins (Illustrators/Trendsetters/Bloggers) ...THE LIST GOES ON.

This generation of self starters is exaclty the typa people i think Mzantsi need, among other great youngins out there. I call them the INFLUENCERS (Yes i am aware of the Movie). The very common thing i notice about these influencers is the total commitment to the love of what they do. It is the very reason we draw inspiration from them, its more than just appreciation for individuals, i think its a Movement, i think we are all moved and moving in the same direction of self-determination, defining us, a generation of people who notice they have the power to take their dreams and flip em over to a commodity we can all consume.

As a photographer and designer who constantly work with some of these influencers among many, i see what we do here at S83 no different to this bigger MOVEMENT sweeping the streets of JHB right now, from 44 Stanley, 70 Juta, Arts On Main to Thesis Social Jam Sessions. We are all perhaps unknowingly a very big collective that has a very big power in our hands, we change our surroundings, we influence our peers and big brands. Forward with the movement. Lets keep influencing.
